Welcome to the Robotech Invasion !

In the late 1990's the Earth found itself involved in a Global Civil War that threatened to destroy the world and end human life as we know it. Things were going badly and no end was in site. That would change in the year 1999 when an alien spacecraft crashed landed on an island in the south pacific. With the realization that we are not alone in the universe humanity rallied together and almost over night the war ended. Humanity put all of its resources into unlocking the secrets of the alien ship and soon learned of the new, more advanced technology that was known as Robotechnology.

After 10 years of reconstruction the human race had managed to rebuild the alien ship that was dubbed the SDF-1. The peace that had lastest over the last 10 years would soon be over though as on the even of the SDF-1's launch an alien race known as the Zentraedi would come to reclaim their lost vessel.

This would lead to a series of attacks on the Earth from 3 different alien races. First the Zentraedi, a race of giant clones, would come, only to be defeated and eventually side with the very humans that they had nearly annihilated. It was after this that the humans would build a new starship to replace the destroyed SDF's 1 and 2. They would take the remaining Zentraedi and journey forth on an expedition to Tirol, the homeworld of the Robotech Masters.

After the defeat of the Zentraedi their creators the Robotech Masters, would come in pursuit of the vessel that they had also created. After a short but brutal year of fighting the Robotech Masters would too be defeated over the site of the SDF-1. Their defeat would lead cause the Earth to be populated with a strange, alien flower. This alien flower would act as a beacon to summon the most dangerous alien race of all.

The Invid would attack a year after the defeat of the Robotech Masters. In less than 8 hours the powerful Invid had defeated the remaining military forces of the Earth and began to harvest the strange flower which is discovered the be the source of Protoculture, the true energy behind Robotechnology. Several attempts are made to reclaim the Earth but each ends in failure and the destruction of the forces sent to reclaim the planet.

After 13 years of domination by the Invid the Jupiter Division, the largest fleet ever assembled by the Robotech Expeditionary Force and under the command of Admiral Rick Hunter, returned to Earth and chased the Invid from the planet. Admiral Hunter and the crew of his flagship the SDF-3 never returned and a new expedition was launched to find there where abouts.

6 months after their departure the Invid have returned. Not with the massive overwhelming force that they originally used. No this time with a smaller but far more brutal force. No one knows why they returned but it is certain that one day they were gone and then the next morning they were back, gathering slaves and repopulating their farms.

There is hope though. The Expeditionary Force is still out there and until they return to once again free the Earth from the Invid the remaining Robotech defenders and freedom fighters unit to fight them.
